Defect
The waterproof cap for the back door was not installed on affected vehicles due to improper work instructions. Without the cap in place, high-pressure washing and similar activities allow water to reach the electrical wiring. Continued use in this condition causes rust to form on the connector terminals, leading to poor electrical continuity. As a result, the license plate lamp, auxiliary brake lamp, and door lock system may cease to function.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, install the waterproof cap and replace the license plate lamp and electrical wiring with new parts.

状況
バックドアの防水用キャップにおいて、作業指示が不適切なため、当該キャップが組付けられておらず、高圧洗車等により電気配線が被水することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、コネクタ端子に錆が発生して導通不良となり、番号灯、補助制動灯およびドアロック等が機能しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、防水用キャップを追加するとともに、番号灯および電気配線を新品に交換する。
