Defect
On small trucks, the assembly instructions for the wiring outlet section of the voltage converter were incorrect. Water may intrude into the voltage converter through the wiring outlet, triggering a fault detection. This illuminates a warning indicator and places the vehicle in a limited-speed control mode. Continued operation in this condition may result in insufficient charging of the auxiliary battery and render the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the voltage converter with the corrected part.
