Defect
The automatic headlamp activation function uses an improperly configured program in the front chassis input/output module. Depending on internal processing conditions at the time the ignition power is switched on, available memory may become insufficient. This causes the automatic on/off function to enter an emergency mode in which the low-beam headlamps remain illuminated continuously regardless of ambient light levels, causing the system to fall out of conformance with the requirements for automatic headlamp activation and deactivation.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the front chassis input/output module is reprogrammed with the corrected/updated software.

状況
前照灯の自動点灯機能において、フロントシャシ入出力モジュールのプログラムが不適切なため、ＩＧ電源オン時に当該モジュール内の処理状況によってはメモリ容量が不足することがある。そのため、自動点灯・消灯機能が非常用モードになり照度に関係なくすれ違い用前照灯が常時点灯状態となるため、すれ違い用前照灯の自動点灯及び消灯に関する要件に適合しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フロントシャシ入出力モジュールのプログラムを対策プログラムに書き換える。
