Defect
On large trucks, the ASAM (integrated electrical component management unit) contains an incorrect control program. On large trucks equipped with an automated mechanical transmission, the engine may stall suddenly; if the light switch is set to the AUTO position at the time of stall, the headlamps may also turn off. On vehicles where a harness was added to the ASAM, an alternator warning indicator may illuminate at engine start.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the ASAM control program is reprogrammed with the corrected software, and the harness added between the ASAM and the alternator is disconnected. Because reprogramming the ASAM changes the auxiliary power output specification for body-builder equipment, the body-builder wiring circuit is also modified to ensure proper operation of installed equipment.

状況
大型トラックにおいて、ＡＳＡＭ（電装品を統合管理する機器）の制御プログラムが不適切なため、 （１）機械式自動変速機の大型トラックにおいて、突然エンジンが停止し、ライトスイッチをオート位置で使用していた場合は前照灯が消灯する等の不具合が生じるおそれがある。 また、ＡＳＡＭにハーネスを追加した車両は、エンジン始動時にオルタネータの警告表示がされるおそれがある。
改善措置
（１）全車両、ＡＳＡＭの制御プログラムを対策品に書き換えると共に、ＡＳＡＭからオルタネータ間に追加したハーネスを切断する。 また、対策品の制御プログラムに書き換えた車両は、架装用予備電源の仕様が変更になることから、架装物の機能が正常に作動しなくなるおそれがあるため、架装用配線の回路を変更する。
