Defect
The engine control computer software is incorrectly programmed, preventing the turbocharger from transmitting diagnostic fault data to the engine control computer. As a result, if the turbocharger fails, the engine warning light will not illuminate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the engine control program will be updated to the corrected specification. In addition, on select vehicles, the translate computer that enables this program update will be replaced.

状況
排出ガス発散防止装置において、エンジン制御コンピュータのプログラムが不適切なため、ターボチャージャから故障診断結果がエンジン制御コンピュータに送信されない状態となっている。そのため、ターボチャージャが故障してもエンジン警告灯が点灯しない。
改善措置
全車両、エンジン制御プログラムを対策仕様に修正する。あわせて、一部車両に対して、当該制御プログラムの修正を可能にするトランスレートコンピュータを交換する。
