Defect
The control software in the engine control unit governing the exhaust brake is incorrect. As a result, the exhaust brake may fail to engage while driving downhill. This prevents the vehicle from achieving the required deceleration and violates Safety Standards Article 12 (braking system requirements).
Corrective action
Reprogram the exhaust brake control software in the engine control unit on all vehicles to the corrected specification. Additionally, replace the translate computer that enables reprogramming of the control software.

状況
排気ブレーキにおいて、エンジン制御用コンピュータ内の制御プログラムが不適切なため、下り坂を走行中に排気ブレーキが作動しない場合がある。そのため、必要な減速度が得られず、保安基準第１２条（制動装置の基準）に抵触する。
改善措置
全車両、エンジン制御用コンピュータ内の排気ブレーキ制御プログラムを対策仕様に修正する。あわせて、当該制御プログラムの修正を可能にするトランスレートコンピュータに交換する。
