Defect
On large and medium-sized route buses, the junction between the driver's seat underfloor distribution box and the driver's side wall panel is improperly protected at its edges, allowing the wiring to contact those edges. Continued operation can damage the wiring insulation and cause a short circuit. In the worst case, the engine may stall while driving and cannot be restarted.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the junction between the driver's seat underfloor distribution box and the driver's side wall panel. Where edge protection is inadequate, add protective material. If the wiring is damaged, repair the wiring.

状況
①大型・中型路線バスにおいて、運転者席下側配電箱と運転者席側壁パネルの接続部の端部の保護が不適切なため、当該端部と配線が干渉するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、配線の被覆が損傷して短絡し、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止し、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、運転者席下側配電箱と運転者席側壁パネルの接続部を点検し、端部の保護が不適切なものは保護材を追加するとともに、配線が損傷している場合は配線を補修する
