Defect

On tank trucks, the relief valve of the gear pump used to unload cargo was machined improperly. During unloading operations, line pressure may rise above normal levels, causing cargo to leak from the gear pump body or pipe joints.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the relief valve with a conforming part. If the condition of the vehicle makes it impractical to replace the valve alone, replace the entire gear pump assembly.

状況

タンクローリの積荷排出用ギヤポンプのリリーフバルブにおいて、バルブの加工が不適切なため、排出作業中に管路内の圧力が高くなることがある。そのため、ギヤポンプ本体や配管の継ぎ目より積荷がもれるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、リリーフバルブを良品に交換する。なお、車両の状態によりバルブ単体交換が難しい場合は、ギヤポンプ一式を交換する。
