Defect
On agricultural tractors, the starter motor mounting structure is improperly designed. Repeated engine starting cycles can cause a gap to develop between the engine rear plate and the clutch housing. This misalignment prevents the starter motor pinion gear from properly engaging the engine flywheel. In the worst case, the engine may become unable to start.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add a starter motor fastening plate and secure the starter motor, engine rear plate, and clutch housing together with common fasteners.

状況
農耕トラクタのスタータモータにおいて、取付構造が不適切なため、エンジンの始動を繰り返すことによりエンジンリヤプレートとクラッチハウジングに隙間ができることがある。そのため、スタータモータのピニオンギヤとエンジンフライホイルが噛み合わなくなり、最悪の場合、エンジンの始動ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、スタータモータ締結プレートを追加しスタータモータとエンジンリヤプレート及びクラッチハウジングを共締めにする。
