Defect
During emissions testing of sample engines for light-duty trucks, an improper method of securing the exhaust pipe to the test facility equipment applies bending stress to the pipe that would not occur in normal vehicle installation. This causes cracks to develop at the pipe's weld joints. Exhaust gas and fuel used for DPR (Diesel Particulate Removal device) regeneration may leak from the cracked areas.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected pipe with a new part.

状況
小型トラック用の抜取検査エンジンにおいて、排出ガス検査設備とエキゾーストパイプ部の固定方法が不適切なため、当該パイプに車載状態では発生しない曲げ応力が加わり、当該パイプの溶接部に亀裂が入ることがある。そのため、亀裂部から排気ガスやDPR(ディーゼル微粒子除去装置)再生用の燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該パイプを新品に交換する。
