Defect
On diesel engine vehicles, metal particles generated inside the engine may cause wear on the turbocharger shaft, resulting in reduced acceleration and abnormal noise. In the worst case, the shaft may fracture, blocking the exhaust path and causing the engine to stall.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the turbocharger. If an abnormality is found, replace the turbocharger with a new unit.

状況
ディーゼルエンジン車のターボチャージャーにおいて、エンジン内部で発生する金属粉で軸が摩耗することがある。そのため、加速力の低下及び異音が発生し、最悪の場合、軸が折れて排気経路が閉塞し、エンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ターボチャージャーを点検し、異常なものはターボチャージャーを新品に交換する。
