Defect

On diesel engine vehicles, the vacuum pump has insufficient wear resistance. Metal particles generated inside the engine may cause wear on the pump shaft, reducing vacuum generation capacity. If the brake pedal is depressed multiple times in rapid succession at low engine speeds, brake assist force may temporarily decrease.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the vacuum pump with the corrected part.
