Defect
On medium-duty trucks equipped with air-hydraulic combined brakes, the piston cup groove machining in the rear wheel cylinders is improper on some units. Continued use causes the sealing performance between the piston cup groove and the piston cup inner diameter to deteriorate earlier than the scheduled piston cup replacement interval, which may result in brake fluid leaking from the rear wheel cylinders.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the rear wheel cylinder pistons. If a pre-corrected piston is found installed, replace it with the corrected part.

状況
中型トラックの空気油圧複合式ブレーキにおいて、後輪用ホイールシリンダのピストンカップ溝の加工が不適切なものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、ピストンカップの定期交換時期より早く、ピストンカップ溝とピストンカップ内径間のシール性能が低下し、後輪用ホイールシリンダよりブレーキ液が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、後輪用ホイールシリンダのピストンを点検し、対策前のものが組付けられている場合は、対策品と交換する。
