Defect
On large trucks, an error in the assembly process for the emission control system heat shield resulted in an incorrect specification heat shield being installed. As a result, the distance between the rearmost point of the front tire and the heat shield exceeds 400 mm, causing the vehicle to fail to conform to the Safety Standards governing underride guards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the emission control system heat shield. If an incorrect specification heat shield is installed, replace it with the correct part.

状況
大型トラックにおいて、排出ガス発散防止装置の遮熱板の組み付け工程が不適切なため、誤った仕様の遮熱板を組み付けたものがある。そのため、前輪タイヤの最後部の後端と当該遮熱板の距離が４００ｍｍを超え、巻込防止装置に係る保安基準に適合しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、排出ガス発散防止装置の遮熱板を点検し、誤った仕様の遮熱板が組み付けられている場合は、正規品に交換する。
