Defect
On large buses, the power cable and signal wire within the engine wiring harness connected to the alternator are improperly secured. Vibration during vehicle operation causes the signal wire to sustain damage and disconnection. Continued operation in this condition disables charging control, preventing the alternator from charging the battery and illuminating the warning light. In the worst case, the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the signal wire with a new part, re-route it correctly, and secure it with cable ties.

状況
大型バスの発電機に接続されているワイヤーハーネスにおいて、電源ケーブルと信号線の固定方法が不適切なため、走行中の車体振動により信号線が損傷・断線することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、発電制御ができなくなり、発電機によるバッテリーの充電が行われず警告灯が点灯し、最悪の場合、走行不能になるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、信号線を新品に交換のうえ再度配策し、結束バンドで固定する。
