Defect
On buses, the manufacturing conditions used during wrist pin bush insertion into the connecting rod are inappropriate, leaving the bush with insufficient retention force. Continued operation causes the bush to wear and sustain damage, producing abnormal noise. In the worst case, the engine may be severely damaged, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
Inspect the serial number of the connecting rod on all vehicles. Replace any affected connecting rod with a conforming replacement part.

状況
バスのエンジンにおいて、コンロッドブッシュ挿入時の製造条件が不適切なため、ブッシュの保持力が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該ブッシュが摩耗、損傷することで異音が発生し、最悪の場合、エンジンが破損して走行できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、コンロッドの製造番号を点検し、対象となるものはコンロッドを良品に交換する。
