Defect
On the gas-filled balancer for the back door, improper painting of the outer cap at the end of the outer cylinder allows the outer cylinder to corrode. Continued use allows the corrosion to progress until the internal gas pressure ruptures the outer cylinder. In the worst case, bystanders may be injured when the back door is opened.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the gas-filled balancer is replaced with a corrected part.

状況
バックドアのガス封入式バランサにおいて、外筒のエンドキャップ部の塗装が不適切なため、外筒が腐食するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、腐食が進行して封入されたガス圧により外筒が破損し、最悪の場合、バックドアを開く際に周囲の人が負傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ガス封入式バランサを対策品と交換する。
