Defect
The passenger door outer handle is improperly designed. When the outer handle is pulled, a movable component that has absorbed moisture and expanded interferes with the handle case, causing the handle to catch and fail to return to its initial position. As a result, the door may not lock securely and, in the worst case, may open while the vehicle is in motion.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the door outer handle with a corrected part. Because procurement of the replacement parts requires additional time, owners will be notified of the defect as a precautionary measure and will be contacted again to schedule the repair once parts are available.

状況
乗降扉において、アウトハンドルの設計が不適切なため、アウトハンドルを引いた際、吸湿して膨張した可動部がハンドルケースと干渉し、引っ掛かり、初期状態に戻らないことがある。そのため、扉が確実にロックされず、最悪の場合、走行中に扉が開くおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、対策品のドアアウトハンドルに交換する。なお、改善措置用部品の準備に時間を要することから、使用者に不具合の内容を通知して注意喚起を行い、準備が整い次第、再度入庫の通知をする。
