Defect
The noise-suppression resistor inside the ignition coil is incorrectly designed. Arc discharge generated during ignition current flow may cause a broken wire at the resistor terminal. Continued use then allows the spark plug seal to deteriorate, resulting in discharge through the seal. This further reduces ignition coil output, causing engine malfunction and illuminating the engine warning light. In the worst case, the engine may stall.
Corrective action
Replace the ignition coil with a corrected/revised part and replace the spark plug with a new unit on all vehicles.

状況
点火コイル内部の電気ノイズを除去する雑防抵抗の構造が不適切なため、点火時の通電によるアーク放電により、当該抵抗端末部が断線するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、プラグシールが劣化して放電し、点火コイルの出力が不足してエンジン不調となり、エンジン警告灯が点灯し、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、点火コイルを対策品と交換するとともに、点火プラグを新品と交換する。
