Defect
The noise-suppression resistor inside the ignition coil is inadequately designed. Arc discharge generated during ignition energization causes the resistor terminal to suffer a broken wire. Continued use allows the plug seal to degrade and discharge, reducing ignition coil output and causing engine misfire; the engine warning light illuminates. In the worst case, the engine may stall.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the ignition coil with the corrected/revised part and replace the spark plugs with new parts.

状況
点火コイル内部の電気ノイズを除去する雑防抵抗の構造が不適切なため、点火時の通電によるアーク放電により、当該抵抗端末部が断線するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、プラグシールが劣化して放電し、点火コイルの出力が不足してエンジン不調となり、エンジン警告灯が点灯し、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、点火コイルを対策品と交換するとともに、点火プラグを新品と交換する。
