Defect
The noise-suppression resistor inside the ignition coil is inadequately designed. Repeated large accelerator pedal inputs while cruising at a steady speed generate arc discharge during ignition energization, causing a broken wire at the resistor terminal. Insufficient ignition coil output results in engine misfire and the engine warning light may illuminate. In addition, ignition-generated electrical noise may prevent the engine control computer from operating correctly, and the engine may stall.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the ignition coil with the corrected/revised part.

状況
点火コイル内部の電気ノイズを除去する雑防抵抗の構造が不適切なため、一定車速での走行時に大きなアクセルペダル操作を繰り返すと、点火時の通電によるアーク放電により、当該抵抗端末部が断線するものがある。そのため、点火コイルの出力が不足してエンジン不調となり、エンジン警告灯が点灯するおそれがある。また、点火時に発生するノイズによりエンジン制御コンピュータが正しく制御できず、エンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、点火コイルを対策品に交換する。
