Defect

The weld securing the spare tire carrier hook is improperly made, causing the weld to detach and the hook to fall off. This allows the spare tire carrier to tilt and, in the worst case, the spare tire may detach while the vehicle is in motion, creating a hazard to other traffic.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the weld condition of the hook mounting. On vehicles that did not receive the supplemental weld reinforcement performed under recall filing number "3406," apply the supplemental weld to reinforce the hook mounting.

状況

スペアタイヤキャリアを固定するフックの溶接が不適切なため、当該溶接部が剥がれ、フックが脱落することがある。そのため、スペアタイヤキャリアが傾き、最悪の場合、走行中にスペアタイヤが脱落し、他の交通の妨げとなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、フック固定部の溶接状態を確認し、リコール届出番号「3406」の改善措置におけるフック固定部の追加溶接がないものについては、追加溶接を行い補強する。
