Defect

On direct-injection turbocharged diesel engines, the fuel injection pump seal is improperly manufactured and shaped, which may cause the seal to crack. Continued use allows the crack to propagate and perforate the seal. In the worst case, fuel may leak.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the fuel injection pump with the corrected/revised part.

状況

直噴ターボディーゼルエンジンにおいて、燃料噴射ポンプのシールの製造および形状が不適切なため、シールに亀裂が入ることがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、亀裂が進行して貫通し、最悪の場合、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、当該燃料噴射ポンプを対策品と交換する。
