Defect
The priming pump on diesel engine-equipped vehicles was manufactured with elevated residual molding stress in some units. This makes the rubber susceptible to ozone degradation during use, leading to crack formation. If the crack propagates through the pump body, fuel may leak while the vehicle is parked, making the engine difficult to start.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the priming pump with the corrected part.

状況
ディーゼルエンジン搭載車のプライミングポンプにおいて、成形時の残留応力が高いものがあるため、使用過程におけるオゾン劣化により亀裂が発生することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、亀裂が貫通して、駐車中に燃料が漏れ、エンジンの始動が困難になるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該プライミングポンプを対策品と交換する。
