Defect
The material used for the engine accessory drive belt is incorrect, causing some resin pulleys to wear at an angle. Continued use allows the belt to sustain damage and separate from the pulley. When this occurs, a warning lamp illuminates and the battery may discharge or the engine may overheat. On vehicles equipped with hydraulic power steering, steering effort may also increase.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the accessory drive belt with the corrected/revised part. Additionally, inspect the resin pulleys and replace any showing advanced wear with new units.

状況
エンジンの補機駆動用ベルトの材質が不適切なため、樹脂製プーリが傾斜状に摩耗するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると当該ベルトが損傷して外れ、警告灯が点灯するとともに、バッテリ上がりまたはオーバーヒートに至るおそれがある。また、油圧パワーステアリング車においては、操舵力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、補機駆動用ベルトを対策品と交換する。また、樹脂製プーリを点検し、摩耗が進行している場合は、新品と交換する。
