Defect

During assembly of the automatic transmission parking mechanism, the parking rod was improperly assembled, damaging the rod's retaining section. As a result, the parking rod may disengage from the manual plate, causing the parking mechanism to fail to engage even when the shift lever is moved to the Park position. Depending on parking conditions, the vehicle may roll away. Additionally, if the parking rod disengages while the parking mechanism gear is locked, the gear lock may rarely fail to release, and in the worst case, the vehicle may become inoperable.

Corrective action

Replace the transmission on all vehicles with a conforming unit.

状況

動力伝達装置において、自動変速機のパーキング機構のギヤをロックさせるパーキングロッドの組付け作業が不適切であったため、ロッドの抜け止め部が損傷しているものがある。そのため、パーキングロッドがマニュアルプレートから外れ、パーキングポジションへシフト操作してもパーキング機構が作動しなくなり、駐車条件によっては車両が動き出すおそれがある。また、パーキング機構のギヤがロックしている時にパーキングロッドが外れた場合、稀にギヤのロック状態を解除することができなくなり、最悪の場合、走行できなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、トランスミッションを良品に交換する。
