Defect

On medium trucks equipped with an automated mechanical transmission, the clips securing both ends of the oil hose to the pipes were incorrectly specified, causing them to be over-tightened and imposing excessive stress on the hose. This causes cracks to form in the oil hose. Continued use leads to an oil leak and, in the worst case, the hose may pull free entirely, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the clips with corrected/revised parts and replace the oil hose with a new one.

状況

中型トラックに搭載された機械式自動変速機において、オイルホースの両端部をパイプに固定するクリップが不適切なため、当該クリップの締め込みが強すぎ、オイルホースに過大な応力が生じることがある。そのため、オイルホースに亀裂が発生し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、オイルが漏れ、最悪の場合、オイルホースが抜けて走行不能となるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、クリップを対策品と交換するとともに、オイルホースを新品に交換する。
