Defect
On heavy-duty trucks with a manual transmission, the oil cooler hose is improperly secured. Road debris thrown up during vehicle operation can strike the hose, deforming it until it contacts the retarder drum (the rotating component of the auxiliary braking system). Continued use in this condition may damage the hose, causing an oil leak and inadequate lubrication inside the transmission. In the worst case, gear changes become impossible and the vehicle is rendered inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, a stay and clip are added to secure the oil cooler hose, and the oil cooler hose is replaced with a new part.

状況
大型トラックの手動変速機において、オイルクーラホースの固定方法が不適切なため、走行中に車両に巻き上げられた異物が、オイルクーラホースに当たることによって当該ホースが変形し、リターダドラム(補助制動装置の回転部分)に干渉するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ホースが損傷し、オイルが漏れて変速機内部が潤滑不良となり、最悪の場合、変速ができなくなり走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、オイルクーラホース固定用ステイ及びクリップを追加するとともに、オイルクーラホースを新品と交換する。
