Defect
On large trucks with dual front axles, the clearance between the power steering pipe and the mud guard cover is insufficient on some vehicles. Vibration during driving may cause the power steering pipe to contact and be damaged by the mud guard cover, resulting in a power steering oil leak and an increase in steering effort.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the power steering pipe; if contact marks are present, replace the pipe with a new unit. Also inspect the clearance between the power steering pipe and the mud guard cover, and if adequate clearance is not present, correct the routing to ensure sufficient clearance.

状況
前2軸の大型トラックにおいて、パワーステアリングパイプと泥除けカバーの隙間が少ないものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、走行中の振動によりパワーステアリングパイプが泥除けカバーと干渉して損傷し、パワーステアリングオイルが漏れて操舵力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、パワーステアリングパイプを点検し、干渉痕がある場合は新品に交換する。また、パワーステアリングパイプと泥除けカバーの隙間を点検し、隙間が確保されていない場合は隙間を確保する。
