Defect
On the engine's vibration-damping crankshaft pulley, a manufacturing process defect caused the adhesive bond on the vibration-damping rubber to detach during service. This allows the pulley's outer ring to spin freely, disabling the alternator and stalling the engine.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, remove the crankshaft pulley and the outer ring retention plate, then replace the crankshaft pulley with a corrected part. If contact between the crankshaft pulley and the outer ring retention plate is found during removal, or if damage to the accessory drive belt is observed, also replace the accessory drive belt with a new unit.

状況
エンジンの防振ゴム付クランクプーリにおいて、当該防振ゴムの接着面が製造工程不良等のため、使用過程において剥離するものがある。そのため、当該クランクプーリの外輪が空転し、発電機が作動しなくなり、エンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、クランクプーリと外輪脱落防止用プレートを取り外し、クランクプーリを対策品に交換する。また、当該作業時にクランクプーリと外輪脱落防止用プレートが接触している場合、又は、補機駆動ベルトの損傷が認められる場合は、補機駆動ベルトを新品に交換する。
