Defect
During the press manufacturing process for the propeller shaft mounting bracket—a component of the floor panel—incorrect press pressure settings produced cracks or localized reductions in panel thickness in some brackets. (1) On four-wheel-drive vehicles, continued use may cause the bracket to fracture under propeller shaft rotational vibration, rendering the vehicle inoperable. (2) On front-wheel-drive vehicles, rust may develop and compromise the bracket's structural strength.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the bracket. (1) On four-wheel-drive vehicles, if a crack or localized thickness reduction is found, replace the bracket with a known-good unit. (2) On front-wheel-drive vehicles, replace the bracket with a known-good unit only if a crack is found.

状況
フロアパネルの構成部品であるプロペラシャフト固定用ブラケットのプレス製造工程において、プレス圧力を誤って設定したため、亀裂または部分的な板厚減少が発生しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると(1)四輪駆動車においては、プロペラシャフトの回転振動等により、当該ブラケットが破損し、走行不能となるおそれがある。(2)前輪駆動車においては、錆等が発生し、当該ブラケットの強度に影響を及ぼすおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ブラケットを点検し、(1)四輪駆動車においては、亀裂または部分的な板厚減少がある場合は、ブラケットを良品と交換する。(2)前輪駆動車においては、亀裂がある場合のみ、ブラケットを良品と交換する。
