Defect
On vehicles equipped with side turn signal lamps, the hazard warning flasher switch has insufficient contact durability. Switch operation generates arc discharge at the contacts, causing contact wear. In the worst case, the hazard warning lamps may fail to illuminate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the hazard warning switch and the flasher unit with corrected parts.

状況
側面方向指示器を備えた車両の非常点滅表示灯スイッチにおいて、接点の耐久性が不足しているため、当該スイッチ操作時の通電によりアーク放電が発生し、接点が摩耗するものがあり、最悪の場合、非常点滅表示灯が点灯しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該操作スイッチ、および、フラッシャーユニットを対策品と交換する。
