Defect
Continuous air conditioner operation in high-humidity conditions causes condensation to form on the air conditioning duct, which may drip onto the ECU controlling the automated mechanical transmission. This can result in inability to shift gears or an engine stall. In the worst case, the engine may not restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the ECU and perform the following: if no moisture traces are found on the ECU body or connector, install a water-intrusion protection cover; if moisture traces are found on the ECU body only, replace the ECU with a new part and install the cover; if moisture traces are found on both the ECU body and connector, replace the ECU and connector with new parts and replace the air conditioning duct with a corrected part.

状況
湿度が高い状態でエアコンを作動させ続けるとエアコンダクトが結露し、機械式自動変速機を制御しているＥＣＵに滴下することがある。そのため、シフト不能やエンジン停止となり、最悪の場合、エンジン再始動不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ＥＣＵを点検し、以下の対応を行う。 ・ＥＣＵ本体とコネクタ部に被水の痕跡がない場合は、被水防止カバーを装着する。 ・ＥＣＵ本体に被水の痕跡がある場合は、ＥＣＵ本体を新品に交換し被水防止カバーを装着する。 ・ＥＣＵ本体とコネクタ部に被水の痕跡がある場合は、ＥＣＵ本体とコネクタを新品に交換し、エアコンダクトを対策品に交換する。
