Defect
The wiring to the solenoid valve controlling the variable vanes of the VGS (variable geometry system) turbocharger is incorrectly routed. As a result, the variable vane position cannot be properly controlled to match engine operating conditions, and turbocharger boost pressure may rise abnormally. This reduces engine service life and may cause internal engine damage.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the VGS turbocharger solenoid valve wiring is corrected to the proper routing, and the engine is replaced.

状況
VGS(可変翼式)ターボの可変翼を動かす電磁弁の配線が誤っているため、エンジンの作動状態に応じた適正な可変翼位置が得られず、ターボの過給圧が異常に上がる場合がある。この結果、エンジンの耐久寿命が短くなり、エンジン内部が破損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、VGS(可変翼式)ターボの電磁弁配線を正規配策に修正すると共にエンジンを交換する。
