Defect
On certain vehicles, the trailer power supply cable was routed and secured to the trailer brake pipe during installation. Vibration during driving damages the brake pipe. Continued use causes air leaks and a reduction in braking force. In the worst case, the trailer brakes may fail to apply or may remain permanently applied.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the cable routing and attachment method is inspected. If the power supply cable is found secured to the brake pipe, it is re-secured to the vehicle body with adequate clearance from the brake pipe. Any brake pipe found to be damaged is replaced with a new unit.

状況
トレーラ用電源ケーブルを増設する際、トレーラ用ブレーキ配管に固定したものがあるため、走行中の振動により、当該ブレーキ配管が損傷することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、空気漏れが発生し制動力が低下し、最悪の場合、トレーラのブレーキが効かなくなる、または、効いたままになるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、電源ケーブルの固定方法を確認し、ブレーキ配管に固定されている場合は、車体に固定し直しブレーキ配管との隙間を確保する。また、ブレーキ配管に損傷がある場合は新品と交換する。
