Defect
The parking brake equalizer — the device that distributes parking brake operating force equally to the left and right wheels — has an excessively wide gap at the brake cable attachment point on some units. This allows the brake cable to enter the gap. In the worst case, when the parking brake is applied, the cable may disengage from the equalizer, reducing parking brake effectiveness.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, re-crimp the equalizer gap to the specified dimension.

状況
駐車制動装置のイコライザ(駐車ブレーキの操作力を左右の車輪に均等に振り分ける装置)において、ブレーキケーブル組付部の隙間が広いものがある。そのため、ブレーキケーブルが当該隙間に入り込み、最悪の場合、駐車ブレーキ操作時にブレーキケーブルがイコライザから外れ、駐車制動能力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、イコライザの隙間を再かしめする。
