Defect
The fuel injection pipe geometry is incorrect, causing the pipe to resonate at mid-range engine speeds and develop cracks. Fuel leaks through the crack and mixes into the engine oil. The contaminated oil then enters the intake stream through blowby gas and burns inside the cylinder, resulting in loss of power output or vibration. In the worst case, the engine may stall and fail to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected pipes (cylinders 2 through 6) with corrected parts and replace the cylinder 1 pipe with a new part. Reprogram the injection characteristic control software.

状況
燃料噴射パイプの形状が不適切なため、中速回転域において噴射パイプに共振が発生し、パイプに亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、燃料が漏れてエンジンオイルに混入し、混合したオイルがブローバイガスに混じってシリンダ内で燃焼するため、出力不足となる又は振動が発生し、最悪の場合、エンストし再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、該当するパイプ(2~6気筒用)を対策品と1気筒用パイプを新品と交換するとともに、噴射特性の制御プログラムを書き換える。
