Defect
On tractors equipped with a pintle hook for towing pole trailers and similar loads, the brake light circuit software that determines trailer connection status is incorrect. When coupled to a trailer not equipped with ABS, the system may erroneously determine that no trailer is connected during operation at speeds of 15 km/h or below. If the trailer brake is applied under this condition, the brake lights may flash instead of remaining steadily illuminated.
Corrective action
Install a trailer information module on all vehicles to correctly detect trailer connection status.

状況
ポールトレーラ等を牽引するピントルフック付きトラクタにおいて、トレーラの連結状態を判断する制動灯回路のプログラムが不適切なため、ＡＢＳ装置が装備されていないトレーラと連結した場合、速度１５ｋｍ／ｈ以下での走行時にトレーラが連結されてないと誤判断する時がある。そのため、その状態の時にトレーラブレーキを作動させた場合、制動灯が点滅するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、トレーラの連結状態を判断する装置（トレーラインフォメーションモジュール）を装着する。
