Defect
On spring-type parking brake chambers, improper installation of the screw retaining the water-ingress prevention cap allows water to enter the spring chamber, causing the spring to rust. Rust can progress to spring fracture, damaging the diaphragm and causing air to leak. In the worst case, the parking brake applies unintentionally while the vehicle is in motion.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the manufacturing location mark on the parking brake chamber; on affected units, perform an inspection. If rust is found inside the spring chamber, replace the parking brake chamber (piggyback type) with a conforming part.

状況
スプリング式駐車制動装置において、水浸入防止キャップを保持するネジの打ち込み作業が不適切なため、スプリング室に水が浸入し、スプリングが錆びることがある。そのため、スプリングが折損し、ダイヤフラムが損傷してエアが漏れ、最悪の場合、走行中駐車ブレーキが作動するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、駐車ブレーキチャンバの製造場所マークを確認し、該当するものは点検を行い、スプリング室内部に錆のあるものは、駐車ブレーキチャンバ（ピギーバック）を良品と交換する。
