Defect
The hydraulic piston in the brake booster and the retaining spring that secures the pin joining the piston to the push rod are improperly shaped. The spring may dislodge and become trapped between the piston and cylinder, causing the piston to seize in the stroked position and the brake to drag. In the worst case, the overheated brake may catch fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the complete brake booster assembly with a corrected part.

状況
制動装置のブレーキブースタのハイドロリックピストン及び当該ピストンとプッシュロッ ドを結合するピンの抜け止めスプリングの形状が不適切なため、スプリングが外れて当該 ピストンとシリンダ間に噛み込む場合がある。そのため、当該ピストンがストロークした 位置に固着し、ブレーキが引きずり、最悪の場合、ブレーキが過熱して発火するおそれが ある。
改善措置
全車両、ブレーキブースタ一式を対策品と交換する。
