Defect
The ball joint on the transmission's second shift rod has insufficient strength. During shift operations, the joint may develop a crack. Continued use can cause the joint to fracture, resulting in loss of gear selection and, in the worst case, leaving the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the complete second shift rod assembly with a corrected part.

状況
変速機の第2シフトロッドボールジョイント部の強度が不足しているため、変速操作時に亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該部が折損して変速不能となり、最悪の場合、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、第2シフトロッド一式を対策品に交換する。
