Defect
On large trucks, the clamps securing the fuel hose between the engine and the fuel filter have insufficient strength. Engine vibration causes these clamps to deform, crack, or fracture, allowing the clamp to contact the fuel hose, fuel hoses to contact each other, and the fuel hose to contact the EGR control hose. Continued operation in this condition allows the fuel hose or EGR control hose to develop holes. In the worst case, fuel may leak or exhaust emissions may exceed regulatory limits.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the fuel hose, EGR control hose, EGR control pipe, exhaust brake control pipe, clamps, and clamp mounting brackets with corrected/revised parts.

状況
②大型トラックにおいて、エンジンと燃料フィルタ間の燃料ホースを固定するクランプの強度が不足しているため、エンジン振動等により、当該クランプが変形、亀裂、折損するものがある。そのため、クランプと燃料ホース、燃料ホース同士、燃料ホースと排気ガス再循環装置（ＥＧＲ）制御用ホースが干渉し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、燃料ホース又はＥＧＲ制御用ホースに穴があき、最悪の場合、燃料が漏れる、又は排出ガスが規制値を超えるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、燃料ホース、ＥＧＲ制御用ホース、ＥＧＲ制御用パイプ、排気ブレーキ制御用パイプ、クランプ及びクランプ取付け金具を対策品と交換する。
