Defect
The waterproofing design and heat resistance rating of the fuse terminal section in the air conditioning harness are inadequate. When rainwater enters the air conditioning fuse holder, the fuse terminals corrode, increasing contact resistance. Heat generated by the load current deforms the terminals, causing poor contact. Vehicle vibration during driving then produces arc discharge at the affected terminals and, in the worst case, may result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect whether an air conditioning system is installed. On vehicles equipped with air conditioning, replace the air conditioning fuse holder and harness with corrected parts.

状況
エアコン用ハーネスのヒューズ端子部の防水構造および耐熱温度の設定が不適切なため 、エアコン用ヒューズホルダ内に雨水が浸入した場合、ヒューズ端子が腐蝕して接触抵抗 が増大し、負荷電流による発熱で端子が変形して接触不良となるものがある。そのため、 走行中の振動によりアーク放電が発生して、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアコン装着の有無を点検し、エアコンが装着されている車両については、エア コン用ヒューズホルダ及びハーネスを対策品に交換する。
