Defect

The frame attachment point of the rear axle upper torque rod bracket has insufficient strength. During hard acceleration or hard braking, high stress develops at this location and may cause a crack to form. Continued operation allows the crack to progress until the bracket fractures and, in the worst case, contacts and damages the propeller shaft, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

Corrective action

Replace the upper torque rod bracket on all vehicles with the corrected part.

状況

 後軸アッパートルクロッドブラケットのフレームへの取り付け部の強度が不足している ため、急発進、急制動時に高い応力が発生し、亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、そ のまま使用を続けると、当該部位が破断し、最悪の場合、プロペラシャフトと干渉して損 傷し、走行不能となるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、対策品のアッパートルクロッドブラケットに交換する。
