Defect
The muffler has insufficient rigidity to withstand exhaust pressure, and the internal welds are inadequate. Continued use in this condition causes the welds to fracture, allowing exhaust gas to leak. The heat from the leaking exhaust melts surrounding components and, in the worst case, may result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the muffler and heat shield with corrected parts. Because full supply of corrected parts will require time, as an interim measure inspect the muffler and replace it with the corrected part if any cracks or damage are found. Vehicles with no damage will be fitted with the corrected part at a later date.

状況
消音器（マフラ）において、排気圧力に対する剛性が不足しており、また、マフラ内部の 溶接が不十分なため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、溶接部が破損して排気ガスが漏 れ、排気熱により周辺の部品が溶損し、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、消音器及び遮熱板を対策品と交換する。なお、対策品の全数供給に時間を要する ため、当面の暫定措置として当該マフラを点検し、亀裂・損傷の認められる場合は対策品 と交換する。損傷のない車両は、後日対策品と交換する。
