Defect
Insufficient clearance between the brake pipes and the leaf springs allows the pipes to contact the springs, abrading the pipe surface and removing the protective plating. The exposed metal corrodes during normal service use. In the worst case, the brake pipes may perforate, causing brake fluid to leak and reducing brake force.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the brake pipes and the brake chamber bracket with corrected parts.

状況
制動装置において、ブレーキパイプとリーフスプリングの隙間が不適切なため、当該ブレ ーキパイプがリーフスプリングと接触して表面に傷がつき、表面メッキが剥がれて使用過 程において腐蝕し、最悪の場合、ブレーキ液が漏れて制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ブレーキパイプとブレーキチャンバーブラケットを対策品と交換する。
