Defect
On high-specification ambulances, the fusible link serving the lighting circuit has insufficient capacity, and the shape of its mounting terminal is incorrect. Under sustained high-load current flow, the terminal overheats, melting the surrounding resin, which flows between the terminals and causes a poor electrical connection. As a result, the headlights, clearance lamps, brake lamps, hazard warning flashers, horn, and defroster may fail to illuminate or operate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles: 1. Install a terminal-type fusible link holder above the battery, connect it to the existing harness, and relocate the main power circuit fusible link into the holder. 2. Replace the lighting circuit fusible link with a corrected/revised part and install it in the position previously occupied by the main power circuit fusible link.

状況
高規格救急車の電気装置において､灯火装置等回路ヒュージブルリンクの容量及び取付 用端子の形状が不適切なため､負荷が高い状態で連続通電を行うと､当該端子部が発熱して 樹脂が溶融し､端子間に樹脂が入り込んで､通電不良となることがあり、前照灯・車幅灯・ 制動灯・非常点滅表示灯・警音器・デフロスタが点灯又は作動しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、①蓄電池上部の位置に端子付きヒュージブルリンクホルダーを設置して既存のハ ーネスに結線し､主電源回路ヒュージブルリンクをホルダーに移動する。②灯火装置等回 路ヒュージブルリンクを対策品に交換し､主電源回路ヒュージブルリンクのあった位置に 設置する。
