Defect
On aerial work platform vehicles, the chassis spacer geometry is improper, placing the plug welds that attach the spacer to the chassis frame too close to the edge of the chassis frame flange on some units. When outriggers are deployed for aerial work operations, the load from the cab and body is applied to the chassis frame repeatedly, causing cracks to develop in the frame. Continued use allows the cracks to propagate. In the worst case, the chassis frame fractures.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the chassis frame and repair any cracks found. Additionally, replace the front chassis spacer with a corrected part on all vehicles.

状況
高所作業車の架装において、シャシスペーサの形状が不適切なため、シャシフレームへ取り付ける栓溶接の位置がシャシフレームフランジ端面に近いものがある。そのため、高所作業をするためにアウトリガをセットした際、キャビン等の荷重がシャシフレームに加わり、当該作業の繰り返しによりシャシフレームに亀裂が発生し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、シャシフレームが折損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、シャシフレームを点検し、亀裂があるものは補修をする。また、全車両、前側シャシスペーサを対策品に交換する。
