Defect
On large touring buses, insufficient waterproofing of the luggage compartment allows rainwater thrown up by the rear tires and wash water from high-pressure cleaning to reach the engine control computer installed in the compartment. In the worst case, water intrusion may cause the computer to malfunction, stopping the engine and preventing a restart.
Corrective action
Apply additional waterproof sealing treatment to the luggage compartment and cover the computer with a waterproof cover.

状況
大型観光バスの荷物室の防水シールが不十分だったため、荷物室内に設置されているエン ジン制御用コンピューターが、リヤタイヤによって巻き上げられた雨水及び高圧洗車時の 洗浄水によって被水し、最悪の場合、コンピューターが誤作動を起こすことにより、エン ジンが停止し、再始動が出来なくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
荷物室の防水シール処理を追加すると共に、コンピューターを防水カバーで覆う。
