Defect
On vehicles equipped with an idling stop-and-start system, the inner diameter of the intake shutoff valve case is machined out of tolerance on some units. This prevents the valve from opening and closing smoothly. Continued use causes the valve to remain closed, preventing the engine from restarting after it has been stopped at a traffic signal or similar situation.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the intake shutoff valve with a conforming part.

状況
アイドリングストップ・アンド・スタートシステム装着者において、吸気遮断バルブのケ ースの内径に加工不良のものがあるため、当該バルブの開閉が円滑に作動しなくなり、そ のままの状態で使用を続けると、バルブが閉じたままとなり、信号待ち等により原動機を 停止した後の再始動ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該吸気遮断バルブを良品と交換する。
